He does not see action, instead acting as the team's announcer. Despite his limited appearances, with a little snooping, players can discover some interesting background about Weaver. If the player reads Weaver's dossier, they learn he was born in the Soviet Union. His father was a local figure who was killed during Stalin's purges.
Weaver also had a younger sister who he believed died during the purge. At an unknown point, Weaver joined the CIA and started to work against his former homeland. Weaver discovered that his sister survived Stalin's Purge and was adopted into a new family.
She went on to marry and have a daughter, whom Weaver believes lives in Moscow. Weaver is desperate to find his niece as she is the only blood relative he has left.
Despite this, a high-ranking individual says not to search for her. She would be part of an operation to eliminate Alex Mason , but it seems the mission was canceled. During the operation to eliminate Mason, Weaver was also a target.
Intel from the zombie map Firebase Z also mentions that Weaver was designated as an enemy of the CIA, but this was rescinded at a later date. This designation also caused trouble, with some agents not wanting to lead the strike team. Harris falls to his death when the bridge he is standing on is crippled by an RPG, forcing Weaver, Hudson, and Brooks to parachute from the cliff to escape the resulting avalanche.
Failing to locate Steiner , they discover the location of Dragovich's targets. Steiner contacts the CIA and reveals his location at Rebirth Island, and that only he could translate the number codes. It is revealed that Mason, who they thought died in Vietnam , was alive and had set out with Reznov to kill Steiner.
Upon reaching the base, they see Mason attacking Steiner on the other side of a bullet-proof window. A delusional Mason proclaims that he himself is Viktor Reznov and that he will have his revenge. Once through the glass, Mason shoots both Steiner and Weaver, but Hudson knocks him out.
Weaver suggests that they find Reznov but Hudson says they won't because he was never there. Upon the revelation that Reznov was never on the island, it is accepted that Mason is the only link to finding the broadcast station. He is then taken into custody and interrogated by the CIA. Following Steiner's death, Weaver and Hudson interrogate Mason for the location of the numbers station.
When he tells them he doesn't know what they're talking about, they put him through the major events in his life from Bay of Pigs in to the present day. However, Hudson does most of the interrogating, getting few answers out of Mason, who rants on about Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner, and his delusions concerning Reznov. Hudson chooses to stay in a last ditch effort to jog Mason's memory. Weaver tells Hudson it's his choice if he wants to die with him and walks out.
However, Hudson does jog Mason's memory and finds out that Castro gave Dragovich a ship called the Rusalka which was the numbers station. They clear out the ship but find out the broadcast station is really underneath it in a supply station. Hudson calls in the airstrike but Mason insists they go after Dragovich. Once Hudson agrees he tells Weaver to take the rest of the squad out.
After the attack on the Rusalka and Dragovich's death, Weaver declares victory, to which Mason responds, "For now According to unlocked intel, Mason never fully recovered from being brainwashed and still hears Reznov.
This made him a person of interest to the CIA. The CIA then decided he was a threat to national security. Weaver and Hudson also became people of interest due to their association with Mason.
Mason, Hudson and Weaver later escaped to South Africa. The kill order, however, was eventually rescinded, and the trio were spared, as they continue to work with the CIA. During this mission, Weaver accidentally caused the death of a young boy, who he thought was supposed to be with his mother; instead the boy was inside a house which he burnt down. Later, despite not being part of the mission, Weaver helped to extract Maxis out of the country, and the two began to form a strong bond.
There's no news as to whether he will be included in a Tracer Pack or not, though. Salah, the second Season 4 Operator , was included in a Tracer Pack. So, it's possible Just a bit unlikely. Weaver and Hudson interrogate Mason on the number codes, playing the code broadcast to him for hours, and recalling missions that led him into the chair.
Weaver becomes irritated during the interrogation, believing that they bumped a lot of drugs in Alex for him to get them what they want. Mason continues to talk about Dragovich, and how Reznov was with him after learning he was "the defector". Hudson stays, and unties Mason from the chair, who then walks around the facility before being knocked out by Hudson. After Hudson explained everything to him, Mason is able to recall where the broadcast station is, stating that it's at The Rusulka in Cuba.
The group finds that the numbers station isn't there, and realize that it's underneath in an underwater facility. Hudson agrees with Mason on stopping Dragovich, and tells weaver to take the squad out and wait for them. Despite the success of the operation, the CIA kept their eye on Mason because he never fully recovered from being brainwashed.
Believing him to be a threat to national security, Weaver and Hudson also became targeted, and they alongside Mason escaped to South Africa.
Hudson and Mason survived, and it's assumed the operation was dissolved or a failure, but Weaver is not mentioned. It's assumed that he was either killed during the operation, let go and retired from the CIA, or was working with the CIA at another branch.
The footage showed soldiers being infected by the Aether and becoming zombies, and another unit clearing up the site in Poland, and Weaver decides to send Requiem to shut down the facility to prevent the infection spreading. William Peck. Despite the setback by Peck, Weaver is assisted by Sergei Revenov and his allies, and they manage to help Maxis escape from the Aether.
After the mission in Outpost 25, Weaver led Operation Threshold to gain technological activities over Omega Group, and sent the Requiem strike team to do so. Weaver was later contacted by Revenov to rescue the Omega scientists who defected, but it was revealed that it was a trap made by Omega scientist Hugo Jager.
The Requiem strike and the Raptor-1 pilot were captured by Kravchenko, who forced the strike team to stop Dr. Aleksandra Valentina's plans in East Berlin.
